Welcome

OUR MISSION
To provide financial and general support
for a variety of programs and activities
which improve and enhance the
educational and extracurricular offerings
to the students of Hatfield.

The Hatfield Education Foundation (HEF) was formed in 1990 by a group of committed and forward-looking Hatfield community members concerned with the future of their children's education.

We fulfill our mission through...
  • A Grants Program offering teachers and staff in the Hatfield Public Schools the opportunity to finance programs, equipment and supplies that enhance student educational experiences.
Photos of our November 2010 Board of Directors meeting, in which teachers described the impact of the HEF grants they received, can be found  here.
  •  The Annual School Musical is financed through HEF,and provides a high-caliber theater experience for students in grades 5-12.
  • Scholarships, sponsorship and support for individual students and clubs in the Hatfield Public Schools.
  • An Endowment to perpetuate our mission.
  • Our annual Hatfield Coed One Pitch Softball Tournament.

Event October 24, 2011
Author Ji-li Jiang addressed the students of Hatfield public schools in the Smith Academy gym on October 24 at 9:30 am. She gave a riveting presentation which made her book come to life.

Ms. Liang is the renowned author of Red  Scarf Girl.  In this memoir, she narrates the experience of herself and her family in Shanghai during China's Cultural Revolution in the 1960's.

This address, presentation and reception were made possible with a grant from the Hatfield Education Foundation.
